As an official partner of the top U.S. university, OTE Group welcomed a group of M.B.A. candidates who worked on a project for payzy by COSMOTE
OTE Group – as an official FIELD Global Partner of Harvard University – once again hosted, in Athens, a group of M.B.A. candidates at Harvard Business School. In the context of the required ‘FIELD Global Immersion’ courses, the students had the opportunity to participate in projects for the development of payzy by COSMOTE, presenting their ideas to the Group’s management team.
"
At OTE Group we have long supported the linking of the academic community with entrepreneurship. In this context, we welcomed M.B.A. candidates from Harvard University Business School, who had the opportunity to get to know the company and participate in a demanding project. We were very pleased and satisfied to see talented and driven young people working and implementing their knowledge under real conditions, presenting their interesting proposals. We are proud that OTE Group, as the country's largest tech company, is a pole of attraction for top university institutions," said the president and CEO of OTE Group, Michael Tsamaz.
The partnership established by OTE Group HR and payzy by COSMOTE with the Harvard team started before their arrival in Greece. In March, the six graduate students conducted a market survey of mobile e-payment platforms in the U.S., identifying best practices and opportunities for developing the app. They were in Greece from 8 to 15 May, conducting surveys of consumers in the Athens area, as well as on the basis of the 110,000 users of payzy by COSMOTE. They then proceeded to analyse the data and study the competition, presenting their final recommendations for the design and marketing strategy of the service. The purpose of this multifaceted experience is to provide students with the opportunity to conduct real research in an unknown environment.
The FIELD Global Immersion courses are designed to enhance and develop students’ understanding of the global environment – their ability to manage and operate effectively in diverse cultures and business environments. In this context, Harvard Business School sends 1,030 M.B.A. students worldwide to work on real business cases. OTE Group is one of 150 program partners in 15 countries worldwide.
