For you, that you have a COSMOTE contract, your available limits for data usage via the Roaming Data Limit service are 62€, 124€, 250€, 500€, 1.500€, 3.000€ and 5.000€. You have the option to choose the limit you prefer with the following ways:
- Through the website https://roamingdatalimit.cosmote.gr from your tablet or smartphone.
- By sending the SMS “DATALIMIT ΧΧΧ” to 1256 (e.g. “DATALIMIT 250” for usage limit 250€)
- By calling COSMOTE Customer Support at 13888 or +30 6971013888
Moreover, if you want to reduce the usage limit, you can do it at any time, provided that you have not exceeded the new limit that you want to set, in the current billing cycle (i.e. the data usage that you have already consumed, in your current billing cycle, must not be higher than the new requested usage limit).
Furthermore, with the activated COSMOTE Roaming Data Limit service enabled:
- You receive an SMS notification when reaching 20% of your usage limit (e.g. at 12,50€, if you have as a usage limit the 62€)
- You receive an SMS notification when reaching 40% of your usage limit (e.g. at 25€, if you have as a usage limit the 62€)
- You receive an SMS notification when reaching 80% of your usage limit (e.g. at 50€, if you have as a usage limit the 62€)
- You receive an SMS notification when reaching 100% of your usage limit and at the same time the data usage is temporarily terminated, until:
- your invoice cycle is renewed and therefore the usage limit is automatically reset.
- you request a higher data usage limit.
If you are a subscriber of
COSMOKARTA, COSMOTE Mobile Cost Control or COSMOTE Business Mobile Cost Control, you can activate the Roaming Data Limit service, with a limit of 62€ or 124€ for data usage abroad.
In order to activate the
Roaming Data Limit service, you can:
- Send the SMS “DATALIMIT XX” to 1256 free of charge (ex.“DATALIMIT 62” for a 62€ limit). Or
- Call COSMOTE Customer Support at 13888 or +30 6971013888
By activating the service, you receive notifications via SMS when reaching 20%, 40%, 80% & 100% of the usage limit of 62€ or 124€ and at the same time data usage is temporarily terminated when you reach 100% of your selected limit:
- until your invoice cycle is renewed and therefore the usage limit is automatically reset. Or
- it is reactivated if you deactivate the service, by sending the free of charge SMS “DATALIMITOFF” to 1256
Finally, in order to be informed on the
COSMOTE Roaming Data Limit service, you can visit at any time the new page
https://roamingdatalimit.cosmote.gr through your tablet or smartphone.
As a subscriber with an activated COSMOTE Roaming Data Limit service and an active COSMOTE My Internet, you receive SMS notifications:
- On the 20%, 40%, 80% and 100% of the selected limit, by the COSMOTE Roaming Data Limit service
- On the 80% and 100% of the data limit of your plan (if you consume it abroad or via EU-regulation or the COSMOTE Travel Pass service), by COSMOTE My Ιnternet service.
Moreover, if COSMOTE Roaming Data Limit service is not activated, but COSMOTE My Internet is, you will still receive SMS notifications of COSMOTE My Internet service:
- On the 10€/20€/30€/….200€ of total amount for data usage, in Greece and abroad
- On the 80% and 100% of the data volume of your plan (if you consume it abroad via EU-regulation or the COSMOTE Travel Pass service).
